NORMAN “STORMIN’ NORMAN” ANTHONY SMITH SR., age 68, of Abingdon, MD, died on November 14, 2007 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Stanley and Helen Vera Archer Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked for the government as a freight rate specialist. A trickster, he was a very good hearted and righteous man who took care of others. He kept life amusing and was a father, brother and friend to all.

Mr. Smith is survived by one daughter, Nerissa A. Gaume of Abingdon, MD; one brother, Paul F. Smith Sr. of Cambridge, MD; one sister, Bernadette Ison of Kingsville, MD; and one grandson, Norman Anthony Smith III of Bel Air, MD. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Norman Anthony Smith Jr., two brothers, William Smith and Richard E. Smith, and one sister, Geraldine Miller.

Pallbearers were Norman A. Smith, Mark E. Smith, Paul F. Smith Sr., Matt R. Bloom, Bill B. Schep and Stewart Silling.
