Norma G. Moore, formerly of Abingdon, MD, died at the age of 89 on June 28, 2016 at the Forest Hill Health and Rehabilitation Center in Forest Hill, MD. She was born in Magnolia, MD, to John Calvin Moore and Nellie Dupont (Townsley) Moore. She graduated from Old Post Road High School and for many years worked as a telephone operator with the C&P Telephone Company in Bel Air. She later became an operator with the federal government, retiring from Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, in 1987. She was a long-time resident of Abingdon, and attended Cokesbury United Methodist Church. For enjoyment she listened to country music, crocheted, worked cross-word puzzles, and spent time with her extended family.
Miss Moore is survived by nieces Phyllis Sowis of Nottingham, Norma Cammarata of Baltimore, Brenda Roberts of Delta, PA, Wanda Garrison of Havre de Grace, and nephew, Guy Parthree. She is also survived by three great nephews, five great nieces, seven great, great nephews and 12 great, great nieces. She was loved by all and will be missed.
