Noel Edward Beegle

Noel Edward Beegle, age 79, of Red Lion, Pennsylvania passed away on January 31, 2021 at The Village at Augsburg in Baltimore, Maryland. Born in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Edward Ferdinard and Genevieve (Schwamb) Beegle and husband of over 54 years to Elizabeth. He joined the ROTC program to be the first one in his family to go to college. He earned a Civil Engineering Degree from Penn State University. He serviced in the Maryland National Guard. He worked for the Army Corps of Engineers as a Civil Engineer for 35 years. A major part of his career was focused on the Corps’ Comprehensive Chesapeake Bay Study which addressed all water resource aspects of the Bay and its’ ecosystem. He was inducted into the Baltimore District’s Gallery of Distinguished Civilian Employees. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, fishing, and loved his family very much.

In addition to his wife, Noel is survived by his two sons, Thomas with his husband Patrick and Daniel with his wife Kimberly and his grandchildren Hannah, Luke, and Shane. He is also survived by six bother-in-laws and seven sister-in-laws and their respective children.
