Nicholas J. Ebner, Jr., age 92, of Fallston, Maryland, passed away on February 7, 2024, at Senator Bob Hooper House after a brief illness. Nick was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Walters) Ebner for 54 years, until her passing in 2006. Born in South Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Kathleen (Kelly) Ebner. Nick graduated from Mount St. Joseph High School, was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was employed by Abbott’s and Jack & Jill Ice Cream. He was a great provider, and patriarch of his family.
Nick was a devout Catholic of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Dundalk (42 years) and St. Mark Catholic Church in Fallston (26 years). He will be remembered for his infectious sense of humor and his love for sharing jokes with those around him. Nick found joy in sketching with pencil, capturing the beauty of the world around him. He also had a passion for solving puzzles, nurturing his flower beds, and showcasing his talents as a skilled handyman. Above all, Nick cherished his time on the water, where he found peace and fulfillment through fishing/crabbing.
Nick is survived by his loving sons, David (Georgene) Ebner of Ira, MI and Paul (Kathy) Ebner of Marco Island, FL, and his devoted daughter, Mary Etta (Larry) Noel of Bel Air, MD. He is also survived by his dear brother, George (Virginia) Ebner, and his cherished grandchildren: Brian (Hilary) Ebner, Patrick Ebner (fiancé Laura Cupinski), Sara (Evan) Smiles, Megan Ebner (fiancé Corydon Baylor), and Delani Noel. Nicholas's legacy continues through his adored great-grandchildren: Hadley and Ella Ebner, and Amelia Smiles.
