Nellie Virginia Scotten

NELLIE VIRGINIA SCOTTEN, age 83, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on February 3, 2008 at her home. Born in Fire Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Lillie Alice Rose Taylor and wife of the late James Archer Scotten Sr. She was a family person and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a long time member of Carsins Run Baptist Church.

Mrs. Scotten is survived by a son, James A. Scotten Jr. and his wife, Rosalie, of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Patricia V. Buchanan of Havre de Grace, MD; a brother, John W. Taylor and his wife, Donna, of Havre de Grace, MD; six grandchildren, Donna Simmons of Aberdeen, MD, Tim Scotten of Street, MD, Tony Buchanan of Aberdeen, MD, Jeff and Joseph Chenoweth, both of Delta, PA, and Deborah Chenoweth of Cockeysville, MD; and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Mable L. Donley; two grandchildren, James Donley and Theresa Buchanan; and three brothers.
