Nellie R. Orsburn

Nellie R. Orsburn, of Bel Air, MD, passed away at the age of 93 on May 11, 2016 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air. She was born in Whitehead, NC to the late Robert Glenn Richardson and Ella Mae (Edwards) Richardson. She worked as a "Rosie the Riveter" for the Glenn L. Martin Company and as a payroll clerk at Edgewood Arsenal. She also worked as a front desk clerk for the Harford Gazette, a bookkeeper for Harry W. Orsburn & Sons Construction and a sales clerk at the Princess Shop. She belonged to several organizations which included The Emmorton Grange, Bel Air Rotary, Eastern Star (Bel Air) and Fork Christian Church.

Mrs. Orsburn is survived by her husband of 73 years, Lester H. Orsburn Sr.; son, Lester H. Orsburn Jr. of Unicoi, TN; sister, Muriel Joines of Sparta, NC; grandchildren, Macinia Altenburg, Wade Orsburn, Lindsey Harris and Lauren Orsburn; and great-grandchildren Colten Orsburn, Noah Altenburg, Jarrett Altenburg, Marissa Altenburg and Samuel Orsburn. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her daughter Glenna Orsburn; brothers Frank and Linville Richardson; and sisters Pauline Baker, Geraldine McMillian and Ruth Richardson.
