Napoleon Faulkner

December 23, 1936 — October 21, 2021

Napoleon Faulkner, age 84, of Edgewood, Maryland passed away on October 21, 2021 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in North Carolina, he was the son of Jessie and Tattie (Terry) Faulkner. He graduated from Carver High School in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army veteran, serving his country from 1956-1960. Napoleon was a Steelworker for over 30 years. He was also a bus driver for Harford County and the YMCA. He made friends everywhere he went, was a talker and made an impact on everyone he met. Napoleon wouldn't miss a trip to the Flea market in Joppatowne on Thursdays. He enjoyed shopping around different thrift stores and although some may call him a collector of many things, he was always collecting tools that would help him fix vehicles or things around the house. He loved basketball and played as long as his body would allow. He was passionate about his music, Jazz, R&B and Gospel, Miles Davis, Fats Domino, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and the Morgan State Channel on the radio.

Napoleon is survived by his loving wife, Doris Faulkner, who shared 36 years of marriage, but were together for 46 years; son, Napoleon Damon Faulkner, II; daughter, Sicily Faulkner; brother, Jesse Faulkner; sisters, Vera Faulkner and Vernette Hayes; Aunt Annie; sister-in-law, Doris Faulkner; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; best friends, Kelly, George and Jose; and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James Faulkner, Ernest Faulkner and Roosevelt Faulkner and sisters, Lucille Jackson and Gladys Faulkner.
