Nancy M. Clayton, 83, of Forest Hill, MD passed away on May 9, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Hammond, IN, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Burnham and Maebelle Jeanette (Holmberg) McMath. She was a member of Bel Air United Methodist Church for almost 50 years and was active in their Senior Baskets Food Ministry, as well as Shepherd Ministry. She also knitted prayer shawls and participated in Quilts for Kids. In 2001 she was voted one of Harford County's Most Beautiful People. She was also active in Barbershop Ladies and had served for many years on the Board and HOA of Spenceola II Condominiums. She loved to sew and bake and was always concerned about everyone else.
Mrs. Clayton is survived by her husband of 60 years, John M. Clayton III; son, John M. Clayton IV of Lacey, WA; daughters, Cathryn C. Heinbaugh of Gaithersburg, Jeanne C. Abel of Kansas City, MO and Barbara L. Clayton of Sammamish, WA; and eight grandchildren.
