Nancy Louise Nelson

Nancy Louise Nelson, age 74, of Havre de Grace, passed away Wed. August 20, 2019. Born in Elkton, MD, she was the daughter of George Washington and Effie (Billings) Shumate and wife of William Robert Nelson. She loved spending time with her family, the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and her cat. She was a caregiver to her sister, Pauline. She was the Owner of Harford Machine Shop, Inc. In 2000, she retired as a Technical Data Assistant for SBCRDEC Edgewood Chem & Bio Chem Command. She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in White Marsh.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by daughter, Beverly Lynn Campbell of Pylesville and her husband, Cecil; son, Kevin Dale Nelson and his wife, Connie; grandchildren, Victoria, Lauren, and Bradley Nelson; and Savannah and Dominic Nelson; brother, Jim Shumate; sister, Dorothy "Sue" Kimmel; and many loving nieces and nephews of Forest Hill.

In addition to her parents and husband of 42 years, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert "Brian" Nelson; brothers, Robert, Ralph, and Joe Shumate; and sisters, Lucille and Pauline Shumate.

Pallbearers: Kevin Nelson, Dominic Nelson, Cecil Campbell, Shane Campbell, Jimmy Kimmel, and Eric Kimmel.
