Nancy Lee Upp, a resident of Edgewood, MD, died at the age of 79 on June 11, 2016 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. She was born in Baltimore, MD to Charles W. Bevans and Mary Rosalie (Holmes) Bevans, and was the wife of the late William Upp, whom she was married to for 30 years. She raised her daughter as a single mom, working as a bookkeeper in the restaurant business, and later, at WLIF Radio in Towson, MD. Nancy was a great story-teller, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved seeing family, especially her grandchildren, on holidays and enjoyed Linda's cooking. She also loved playing games, doing crossword puzzles, making latch hook rugs, and playing the slots. She enjoyed reading, and watching TV, especially "The Waltons," and "Perry Mason," and she relished taking day trips and bus trips with her husband, Bill. She was an avid fan and collector of Dreamsicles Figurines.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Richards, son-in-law, Jim Richards; and grandchildren Christopher Richards and Jen Richards of York, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
