Nancy Greene Brewer

Nancy Greene Brewer, age 79, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on March 9, 2022 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Roscoe and Edna (Bedsaul) Greene. She was a lifelong resident of Harford County and a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air. Nancy began her working career as a Harford County School Teacher. She took a break from the workforce to concentrate on being a mother and raising her family. Once her children were older, she worked various jobs including as an administrative clerk at the Harford County Sheriff’s Office, as a job placement contractor for the State of Maryland, as a secretary at Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air, MD, and an executive secretary for the Baptist Convention of Maryland/Delaware. Nancy enjoyed crafts, flowers, and gardening. She loved music, could sing, and play the piano and harmonica. She was especially fond of Southern Gospel music. Nancy loved to laugh and was always up for a good joke. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was committed to her church family and loved the Lord.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jesse Brewer; sons, Greg Brewer (wife - Jan) and Mike Brewer (wife - Diana); daughter, Lauren Brooks (husband - Carl); sister, Mary Lee; grandchildren, Sarah Brewer, Thomas Brewer, Jesse J. Brewer and Gillian Brewer; and numerous extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Derek Brewer.
