NAN M. LANE, age 97, of Aberdeen, died on January 8, 2006 at Harford Memorial Hospital. Born in Crumpler, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Franklin and Marthia Frances Gambill Blevins and the wife of the late John Robert Elliott. She had served as a foster parent and was recognized for her care of foster children. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Aberdeen, and was known for being very caring, charitable and religious. She enjoyed sewing.
Mrs. Lane is survived by two sons, William R. Elliott or Little Rock, AR, and Michael V. Elliott of Delta, PA; four daughters, Mary B. LaBelle of Aberdeen, Nancy J. Richardson of Whiteford, Linda Glassman of Churchville, and Lydia Elliott-Buettner of Pueblo, CO; one sister, Ruby Robinson of Baldwin; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Joseph L. Elliott and James C. Elliott; four brothers; and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Antony Richardson, Sgt. James Richardson, Chuck Frank, James Alexander, David Glassman, and Christopher Glassman.
