Moses Alonzo Moore Jr.

Moses Alonzo Moore Jr., 65, of Abingdon, MD passed away on November 27, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, DE. Born in Laurel, MD, he was the son of the late Moses Alonzo Moore Sr. and Mabel (Powell) Moore. He was a 1968 graduate of Laurel High School in Laurel, MD. He worked in public transportation as a cab driver and loved the Lord. He also loved sports and antique cars, getting dressed up and wearing his hats, and taking care of the birds. He enjoyed food and singing soul music. Moses was a disabled Vietnam Veteran and served in the U.S. Army from July 29, 1968 until September 13, 1976. He was honorably discharged and was a recipient of the National Defense Medal.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joyce Boston-Moore; sons, Anton Christian Boston Moore and Dwight Moses Moore both of Maryland; daughters, Kim Moore of Maryland and Sandra Moore of Virginia; brothers, David Moore and Jerry Moore both of Laurel and Randolph Moore of North Carolina; sisters, Annie Moore, Anita Moore, Dorothea Moore, Annebell Moore and Petiebird Moore all of Laurel; and three grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his son, Kevin Moore.
