Morris Benjamin Brice

May 10, 1941 — February 11, 2022

Morris Benjamin Brice, son of the late Morris Edward and Sara Elizabeth(Couplin) Brice. Born May 10, 1941 in White Marsh, Maryland at home. He was an only child. He peacefully departed his life on Friday, February 11,2022. Where as his dear wife, Evelyn (Ebbie) departed on Friday, January 21,2022, which marked their 61st Wedding Anniversary. Morris was affectionately known as Brice, Puddin, Goose, and Slim to all his family and friends. He received his education from The Loreley Colored School in White Marsh. After completing his education, at the age of 17 he followed in the footsteps of his father and began his secular career as a machine operator, at Genstar Concrete Contractor, formerly known as Campbell’s. He received numerous awards for milestone years of service. Although Brice was an only child, he treasured his adventures with his Uncle Duke. He had fun hanging with his cousins, the Guys, Myers and Coupling Boys, driving his 64 Chevy Convertible, and hanging out at The Twin Pinesand Johnny Sports Arena, enjoying live shows. It was during these weekends that he met the love of his life, Evelyn (Harris). He was a devoted husband.They made their home on Bush Rd, raising their six children. Brice was known for his pleasant and mild temperament. He saw the good in everyone thus becoming everyone’s “Pop-Pop “. Although Brice and Ebbie built their home in Harford County, he continued to maintain his farm animals in Baltimore county, including Sandy The Cow (his undercover pet he never was going to butcher). He enjoyed the country rustic style of living, laid back on the prized leather love seat, cheering on the contestants of “Dancin’ with the Stars” and “The Voice”, and watching their favorite morning talk show “Ellen”. He and Ebbie loved those shows so much that they would not answer phone calls or doors during these moments. Pop-pop also enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, watching football and basketball games.


He leaves to cherish his loving memory, Daughters: Deborah Thompson of Xenia, OH, Pamela Clements, and Sherry Jenifer. Sons-in-law: Stanley Williams and Leroy Thompson; Daughter-in-law: Rosa Michelle Brice; 29 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Sistersin-Law: Denise Stokes (known for her biscuits n’ chipped beef), Anna Moore, Linda Johnson, Connie Harris, Catherine Harris, Paula Harris, Rhonda Harris, and Renee Harris; brothers-in-law: Charles Harris, James (Pop) Harris, Roger Harris, Harvey Robinson, Worthy Jones, and SamuelMiller; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of extended family members.


In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his daughter Jacalyn Williams and sons Morris and Kevin Brice.
