Mitchell Steven Hemmings

Mitchell Steven Hemmings, 57, of Abingdon, MD passed away on November 8, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Lynchburg, VA, he is the son of Steven Ellis Hemmings of Lynchburg and the late Serinia Lucille (Christian) Hemmings. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked as a manager in the food service industry.

In addition to his father, Mr. Hemmings is survived by his wife, Cathy C. Hemmings; daughters, Tiffany Hemmings Prather of Charlotte, NC, Anika Tena Hemmings of Lynchburg, VA, Carly Ryanne Hemmings and Kelsy Rayanne Hemmings both of Abingdon; brother, Stanley Edwin Hemmings of Lynchburg, VA; sisters, Stephanie Rene Richeson of Covington, VA and Jaynie Hemmings Jackson of Virginia Beach, VA; and grandson Elijah Cabler-Hemmings of Charlotte, NC.
