Minnie Virginia German, 96, of White Marsh, MD passed away on February 24, 2016 at Franklin Square Seasons Hospice. She was born in Baltimore, MD and was the daughter of the late Roy Horton and Hazel Owens Horton. Minnie was preceded in death by husbands, Elmer Grove and Alvin German, as well as, by sons, Calvin L. Grove and E. Lee Grove; her brother, Leroy Horton and her sisters, Doris Smith and Bernice O'Connor. She is survived by one son, Ronald L. Grove of Westminster and his companion, Debbie Myers, daughters-in-law, Laverne Grove and Cindy Grove, as well as, by 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and close friend Ruth Banick of Bel Air.
Minnie was a lifetime member of Joppatowne Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fleet Reserve Association from 1984 to 2009. She was a volunteer at Perry Point VA Health Systems and was active in the hospitality community, having a special ministry-The Lollipop Ministry. She also loved camping and caring for her grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Grove, Michael Grove, Christopher Grove, Joshua Grove, Triston Grove and Erik Lichtenberg.
