CSM MILTON GERALD GILTZ, RET. U.S. ARMY, age 82, of Edgewood, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on January 7, 2004. Born in Pocomoke City, Maryland, he was the son of the late Oswald Giltz and the husband of the late Patricia E. Winter Giltz and the late Audrey Mae Cook Giltz. He had retired from Edgewood Arsenal in 1967 after 28 years of service. He was a member of the B.P.O.E., Brother of the Paternal Organization of Elks, formerly of Edgewood now Abingdon. He was a past Exalted Ruler during the 1970’s. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 17 in Edgewood. He served his country in the U. S. Army during WW II.
Mr. Giltz is survived by one daughter, Mary Carol Dawson of Atwater, California; one step-daughter, Florence Ann Buck of Austin, Texas; two step-sons, Ronald Lee Meddings of Elkton; Fred M. Osborne, Jr. of Edgewood; one sister, Isabelle Ditlow of Wilmington, Delaware; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and two wives, he was predeceased by one son, Milton Andrew Giltz and one brother, Preston Giltz.
