Mildred Gertrude Leard

Mildred Gertrude Leard, age 87, of Joppa, MD, passed away on January 2, 2012 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wharton Allen and Juliet Ruth Basil Drury and wife of the late John Paul Leard. A resident of Harford County for 22 years, she was a member of Joppatowne Christian Church. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and was the caregiver to her entire family.

Mrs. Leard is survived by her sons, Raymond F. Leard and wife, Joan, of Towson, MD and Ronald A. Leard and wife, Donna, of Magnolia, DE; daughter, Karen M. Heilman and husband, Terry, of Joppa, MD; brother, Alden Drury of AZ; sisters, Claire Classon of Orlando, FL and Ruth Tanner of York Springs, PA; ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
