Michael Anthony Cochran, age 75, of Jarrettsville Maryland passed away on November 10, 2017. Son of the late William Anthony Cochran and Sadie Rebecca Cochran (nee Day). Devoted husband to Joyce F. Cochran, tough but loving father to son, Michael Anthony Cochran Jr. and Rebecca Lynn Cochran, silly and playful grandfather to Brody Cochran and Sadie Annabelle Burton. Mike was a veteran of the Korean War, served in the 82nd Airborne division, the Merchant Marines and worked forty-five years for local 486 as a pipefitter.
Known for his gruff, no nonsense personality and his sarcastic humor he couldn’t hide his soft heart, never passing by a sick stray dog or a turtle stuck in the road. Hard working but equally hard at play, he enjoyed riding his Harley, deep sea fishing and dearly wished to be able to skydive one more time. He treasured the quiet of his rural home and spent his later years as an amateur gardener, woodworker and curator of the mundane, scouring local flea markets for hidden treasures. His love of good food will live on through the hand marked recipes that he was always perfecting right until the end.
He also leaves behind a sister, Claudia M. Dorton of Dundalk and brother, Charles Gregory Cochran of Dundalk and is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Wellner.
He will be truly missed.
