Michele Alex Barrett

Michele Alex Barrett, age 59, of Baltimore, MD, died on July 4, 2011 at Franklin Square Hospital in Rosedale, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Peter and Anne Rose Mangan Alex. She was employed, for about 20 years, with Franklin Financial Group. She enjoyed shopping with her sister Eileen, reading, and baking and decorating cakes. She was a great cook, loved to throw parties, and was a wonderful smiling person always willing to help someone in need. She loved all her nieces and nephews and remembered to always send cards on special occasions.

Mrs. Barrett is survived by her husband, who she married in 1999, Mark Allan Barrett of Baltimore, MD; brother, Joseph Louis Alex and wife, Susan, of York, PA; sisters, Eileen Alex Betz and husband, Fran, of Overlea, MD, Joanne Theresa Burgh and husband, Michael, of Villages, FL; mother-in-law, Katherine Lee Barrett of Sparrows Point, MD; sister-in-law, Martha Lee Balderson and husband, Kenneth, of Essex, MD, JoAnn Wagner and husband, Kirk, of Parkville, MD, Elizabeth Hughes and husband, Daniel, of Bel Air, MD; brothers-in-law, Michael Barrett and wife, Judy, of Bear, DE, David Barrett of Sparrows Point, MD; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her father-in-law, Oscar Eldridge Barrett.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Alex, Fran Betz, Justin Alex, Joe Alex, Danny Hughes and David Barrett.
