Michael Robert Sommer

Michael Robert Sommer, 62, of Abingdon, MD passed away on December 13, 2015 at Seasons Hospice at Franklin Square in Rosedale, MD. Born in Oneonta, NY, he was the son of the late Robert D. Sommer and Aleen (Widger) All. He attended Otego High School and SUNY Delhi in New York. A resident of Harford County for 28 years, he enjoyed golfing, fishing and time spent with his family.

Mr. Sommer is survived by his wife of 42 years, Betty (Richards) Sommer; daughter, Kristen E. Sherry and husband, Brandon, of Abingdon; sister, Judy Moyer of Franklin, TN; and granddaughter, Madelyn Sherry. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his son, David M. Sommer and his sister, Jeanne Hamilton.
