Michael Patrick Shanahan

Michael Patrick Shanahan, age 62, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on April 29, 2022 at Lorien Bel Air in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Bronson and Marlyn (Martin) Shanahan. Michael grew up in the Essex/Middle River area. He attended St. Clare’s School and Archbishop Curley. Growing up he was active in baseball, basketball and football leagues.  He graduated from Towson University and became a CPA. He was an active member of the Holy Name Society and Knights of Columbus. He was involved in many fundraising projects. 

Michael is survived by his wife AnnMarie Shanahan; daughters, Caitlin (Steve) Gill and Kerry (Michael) Grohman; granddaughters, Reilly Gill and Emma Gill; grandsons, Adam Gill, Isaac Grohman and Judah Grohman; and brothers, Bronson Shanahan, Jr. and Patrick Shanahan. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Shanahan.
