Michael P. Kropp, age 79, of Joppa, MD, died on June 7, 2010 at his home. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret Magdalene Mokowski Kropp. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1948-1952 and worked for the STA- ILA Local 953 where he was a longshoreman. An avid fisherman and crabber, he loved spending time on the Eastern Shore, vacationing in Florida, and eating crabs with his family. He also loved to play pinochle and rummy.
Mr. Kropp is survived by his wife of 57 years, Naomi Mary Kropp of Joppa, MD; sons, Michael W. Kropp and wife, Kathy, of Jarrettsville, MD, Mark L. Kropp and wife, Denise, of Aberdeen, MD, and Patrick M. Kropp and wife, Jill, of Powhatan, VA; brother, Eugene F. Kropp and wife, Barbara Jean, of Joppa, MD; sister, Gloria Geller and husband, Gordon, of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Michael P. Kropp and wife, Heather, of Havre de Grace, MD, Matthew J. and John C. Kropp of Abingdon, MD, David J. Kropp of Forest Hill, MD, Dalton and Brent Kropp of Powhatan, VA, Lauren N. and Emily M. Kropp of Aberdeen, MD; great-grandson, Michael T. Kropp of Havre de Grace, MD; step-grandchildren, Morgan Budrecki of Bel Air, MD, Zachary Budrecki and wife, Ashley, of Tacoma, WA, Dana Budrecki of PA; and step-great-granddaughter, Ava Budrecki of Tacoma, WA.
