Michael J. DeMartino, 68, of Bel Air, MD passed away on May 31, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air after a six month battle with lung cancer. Born in Albany, NY he was the son of the late Emmit and Phyllis Horne DeMartino. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during the Vietnam War in the 1/7 Cavalry Division. A self-employed home improvement contractor, he was a member of American Legion Post #39 in Bel Air, the Disabled American Veterans, VFW Post #15021 and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Msgr Arthur Reilly Assembly. He enjoyed fishing and boating on the Chesapeake Bay, and feeding wildlife.
Mr. DeMartino is survived by his wife of 30 years, Sheila A. DeMartino; sons, Michael J. DeMartino III and wife, Wendy of Exeter, NH, Derek D. Hill and wife, Heather of Snohomish, WA and Dennis D. Hill and wife, Lori of Providence Forge, VA; siblings, Eddie DeMartino of Cortland, NY and Catherine Lepitich of Cooperstown, NY; and eight grandchildren, Emily Kaye DeMartino, Abby Rose Demartino, Natalie Anne DeMartino, Michael James (Max) DeMartino, Harrison Hill, Hudson Hill, Jacob Hill and Dylan Hill. . In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, David Williams.
