Michael Eugene Hamblin

Michael Eugene Hamblin, 75, of Forest Hill, Maryland, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, at Hart Heritage Estates in Street, Maryland.

Michael was the beloved son of the late Robert and Martha (Billings) Fry. He was the devoted husband of Sandra (Maiden Name) Hamblin, with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.

Michael had a fulfilling career as a registered nurse at Sinai Hospital, where he made a significant impact before his retirement. He had a deep passion for history, with a particular interest in the Civil War. His love for his country was evident as he served honorably in the U.S. Air Force.

He was also an active member of the American Legion Post 39 in Bel Air, where he enjoyed the camaraderie and support of fellow veterans.

Michael will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love of history, and his service to his country. His memory will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In addition to his wife, Michael is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Matt) Rinehart; grandchildren, Axel and Abigail Rinehart; brother, Ed Hamblin; brother-in-law, Bill Stahler.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Snider.
