Michael James Beck Sr.

Michael James Beck Sr., 77, of Joppa, Maryland, passed away on December 19, 2024, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Michael was the son of the late Ernest and Frances (Cirri) Beck and the beloved husband of 60 years to Linda Darlene Beck.

Michael had a dedicated career as a Material Department Coordinator at General Motors. In retirement, he pursued his passion for golf, frequently playing at Mountain Branch Golf Course, where he also enjoyed working part-time. Wednesday card games at the American Legion were a cherished tradition, and he loved the excitement of trips to Hollywood Casino in Perryville.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Linda Darlene; his son, Michael (Toni) Beck Jr.; his daughter, Michele (Robert) Murr; his cherished grandchildren, Jaclyn (Mike), Joshua, Matthew, Zachary, and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Victor, Benjamin, Hendrick, and Mackley. He is also survived by his brother, Ernie Beck.

In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his sisters, Frances Smith, Catherine Moore, and Mary Jane Jones, and his brother, Charles Beck.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

There will be a luncheon at Grandview immediately following the service, all who attend are welcome.
