Michael B. Zimmerer

MICHAEL B. ZIMMERER, age 60, of Havre de Grace, MD, died on August 26, 2007 at Gilchrist Center, Towson, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of Mary Roland Sturgis Zimmerer and the late George Charles Zimmerer. He was a graduate of Calvert Hall and continued his studies at Towson University. Mr. Zimmerer worked for the U.S.D.A. F.S.I.S. and was Director of the Financial Management Division. He retired after 35 years of devoted service. He had a love for motorcycling and was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association, Maryland Chapter H. He was a certified scuba diver. In his youth, he was a member of the St. Mary’s Lancers, Dundalk Cadets, and Yankee Rebels drum and bugle corps.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Zimmerer is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Susanne C. Pollock Zimmerer of Havre de Grace, MD; a brother, Stephen G. Zimmerer and wife, Bonnie, and niece, Hope Zimmerer all of Canton, MS; and a host of aunts and uncles.

Pallbearers will be Chris Nagel, Gene Woods, Michael Haslup, Wil Berrell, Neil Reynolds, and Shane Patishnock.
