Merril E. Scarborough

Merril E. Scarborough, age 92, of Darlington, MD passed away on October 14, 2012 at his home. Born in River Hills, MD, he was the son of the late Hamilton Yingling and Catherine Few Scarborough and husband of the late Esther I. Mahan Scarborough. He had worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground in the Procurement Department. He enjoyed making bird houses, benches, and fishing, as well as, dining at Shady Maple, attending plays and gardening.

Mr. Scarborough is survived by his son, Stephen D. Scarborough of Darlington, MD; daughters, Betty Louise Beall of Abingdon, MD, Gwendolyn Ann Beall of Chester, VA and Marilyn Elizabeth Herling of Parkton, MD; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sons, John Malcom, Paul A. and Richard Scarborough, five siblings and grandson, Johnathan Beall.
