Mercedes Betty Lee Cox

MERCEDES BETTY LEE COX, age 71, of Bel Air, MD, died at Sinai Hospital on September 16, 2007. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John and Mercedes Love Zadarogny. A Harford County resident since 1968, she worked in the finance department at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the 1960’s as a bookkeeper. She was a long time member of the Shrine of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mount Washington, MD and St. Mark Catholic Church, Fallston, MD. She served as a den mother and a Camp Fire group leader. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her husband of 49 years, Richard Theodore Cox, Sr. of Bel Air, MD; two sons, Richard T. Cox, Jr. of Adamstown, MD and John L. Cox of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Anne Marie C. Race of Mount Washington, MD; two nieces; six grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
