Melvin L. Frantum

MELVIN L. FRANTUM, age 84, of Forest Hill, MD, died on June 7, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Samuel Thomas and Edna Elizabeth Kramer Frantum. A Navy veteran, he served our country during WWII. He retired from General Motors after 25 years and worked as a plumber in the construction industry. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing. A 33 Degree Mason and Shriner, he played with The Oriental Band for the Masons.

Married in 1948, Mr. Frantum is survived by his wife of 58 years, Helen M. Irwin Frantum of Forest Hill, MD; a daughter, Dwyn Ellen Starr of Covington, GA; and one grandson, Joshua Starr of Covington, GA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and eight sisters.

Pallbearers were Charles Irwin, Matthew Irwin, Jeffrey Harris, John Mead, David Judy and Jim McCord.
