Melissa ''Missy'' R. Curlee

Melissa "Missy" R. Curlee, age 31, of Joppa, MD, passed away on August 21, 2011. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of George Jennings Oakley Jr. and Bonnie Lee Siler Oakley, of Abingdon, MD. She was a 1997 graduate of Joppatowne High School where she was a cheerleader and also played lacrosse. She was employed as a hostess at the Maryland Golf and Country Club, was an avid reader, loved animals and enjoyed riding horses. She was also a participant in the Locks of Love Program where she donated her hair for cancer victims.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of seven years, Kenneth M. Curlee of Joppa, MD; sister, Mindy Lynn Oakley of Bel Air, MD; and grandmother, Marjorie Siler of Edgewood, MD.
