Melba J. Burnett

Melba J. Burnett, age 69, of Joppa, MD, died on May 20, 2010 at her home. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Michael and Catherine Ruth Wells Blackburn. A receptionist for the Catholic Review Newspaper, she was also an active member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and loved going to breakfast with her church lady friends at Cracker Barrel. She loved to shop on QVC, read and watch TV.

Ms. Burnett is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Lee Stender and husband, Karl, of Joppa, MD and Stephanie Britton of Georgia; sisters, Barbara Rodeffer, Marian Wzensinski and Dawn Reinhardt; grandchildren, Kristina Ayers, Karla Stender, A.J. Britton and Zach Clark; and one great grandchild.
