Melanie Jane Marenna

Melanie Jane Marenna, 55, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on June 29, 2015 at her home. Born in Hanover, PA, she is the daughter of Amelia Jane (Garrett) Garland of Hanover, PA and the late Hazen Elwood Garland. She attended Lancaster General Hospital School of Nursing where she was President of her class. Melanie was devoted to her family and had incredible passion for Jesus, flowers and music.

She was a talented singer who, along with her mother and sister, sang in different musical groups throughout her life. She attended Immanuel Bible Church in Springfield, VA where she was active in the missions and children's' programs, and belonged to the Immanuel Singers. She was a current member of Mountain Christian Church for 18 years where she was actively involved with several areas of ministry. The mother of six children, she was always known for her compassion and kindness.

Melanie is survived by her husband, Gary J. Marenna, who she married on April 20, 1995 in Clifton, VA; sons, Matthew E. M. Marenna of Charlotte, NC, Adam "A.J." Marenna and Benjamin M. Marenna all of Bel Air; daughters, Samantha R. Marenna, Victoria B. Marenna and Amanda J. G. Marenna, all of Bel Air; sister, Valerie J. Gatz of Hanover, PA; and stepfather, Douglas Garland of Hanover, PA.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Marenna, Adam J. Marenna, Karl Gatz, Kaleb Gatz, Scott Garrett, and Ryan Muzii.
