Mavis Huffman

Mavis Huffman, age 91, of Edgewood, MD, died on November 29, 2009 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Basin, WV, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Luther Chambers Whitt and Minnie Ethel Mitchum Whitt. A registered nurse, she was a member of the National Nurses Association. She attended the Edgewood Senior Center, taught physical fitness, enjoyed dancing and was an avid bowler.

Mrs. Huffman is survived by her husband of 63 years, Uria Aubrey Huffman of Edgewood, MD; daughter, Katie M. Chambers of Essex, MD; son, Danny R. McKinney of White Plains, MD; brother, Eddie E. Whitt of Hico, WV; five grandchildren, Richard, Jessica, Dorsey, Joel, and Julie; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson.
