MAUDE MILDRED EASTERDAY, age 79, formerly from Knoxville, died at her daughter’s home in Bel Air on December 22, 2002. Born on March 28, 1923 in Dandridge, Tennessee, and raised in Piedmont, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Iva Heck, and the wife of the late Ben H. Easterday, Sr. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. She was a long time teacher of the Homemakers Sunday School class at McCalla Avenue Baptist Church and later, of the Friendship Sunday School class at Union Baptist Church.

Mrs. Easterday is survived by one son, Ronnie Howard Easterday and his wife, Glenda of Danbridge, Tennessee; two daughters, Tamera Lee Easterday of Tellico Plains, Tennessee; Revonda “Vonnie” Anne Tipton and her husband, Rev. Kenneth E. Tipton, of Bel Air; one sister, Ruth Shackleford and her husband, Sam Shackleford of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Chris Easterday of Knoxville, Tennessee; Scott Easterday of Los Angelos, California; Allison Easterday of Knoxville, Tennessee; Leah Magner and her husband, Jeff Magner of Raleigh, North Carolina; Krista Vermillion and her husband, Mark Vermillion, of Aberdeen; Dina Tipton of Bel Air; two great-grandchildren, Jordon Vermillion of Aberdeen; and Ben Magner of Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by brothers, Wiley, Clyde, Stacey, Clarence, Lee, Luke, and infant Oscar Heck; sisters, Lona Churchman, and infant Bertha Heck.
