MATHIEU J. HASLBECK, age 82, of Bel Air, formerly of Baltimore, died after a long illness with congestive heart failure in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on January 22, 2005. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Mathieu Joseph, Sr. and Della Ellen Duval Haslbeck. He had retired after 30 years of service as an assemblyman with Western Electric. He enjoyed traveling and volunteered with the Boy Scouts in Baltimore. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.
Mr. Haslbeck is survived by his wife of 25 years, Regina Archer Haslbeck; four sons, Robert Haslbeck of Baltimore; Kenneth Haslbeck of Timonium; Ronald Haslbeck of Baltimore; James Haslbeck of Essex; two daughters, Barbara Donahue of Annapolis; Patricia Seiden of Tampa, Florida; one brother, Carlton Haslbeck of Baltimore; two sisters, Olive Kreinbihl of Baltimore; Mary Brummil of Atlantic City, New Jersey; six grandchildren, Carrie, Leanne, and Kirk Haslbeck, all of Kingsville; Deanne and Nicole Seiden of Tampa, Florida; and Amanda Haslbeck of Baltimore. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his previous wife and mother of his six children, Anna Haslbeck.
