ALAN “MAC” V. MACDONALD, JR., MSG, (USA RETIRED), age 69, of Aberdeen, MD, died on March 14, 2007, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Alan Vicar MacDonald Sr., and the late Sarah E. Nolan MacDonald. He was an In-service Recruiter for the U.S. Army, from which he retired after 34 years of service. He was a member of Abingdon VFW 5337, Aberdeen American Legion Post 128, and Aberdeen VFW Post 10028, where he was a member of the Honor Guard. He enjoyed sports, especially golf.
MSG. MacDonald is survived by two sons, Alan V. MacDonald, III, and Daniel J. MacDonald, both of Brockton, MA; one daughter, Lori Ann Mahafca of S. Yarmouth, MA; one brother, Joseph MacDonald, and his wife Marga, of Norwich, CT; one sister, Carol E. MacDonald of Brockton, MA; three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Richard MacDonald, and a sister, Joan Jenner.
