Mary-Elissa Tomecek

MARY-ELISSA TOMECEK, age 50, of Bel Air, MD, died on June 26, 2007 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, MD. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter Mimzey and Marion Rose Parenti Fedas. She was a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, Baltimore, MD having earned her Bachelor and Master Degrees. She had retired from Harford County public schools after 20 years of service where she was an instrumental music teacher. Early in her career, she also taught vocal music in the public schools. She taught private clarinet lessons for many years. She enjoyed reading and had a passion for books. She had eclectic taste in arts and crafts, an appreciation for diverse cultures through literature and music, and a deep love for animals.

Mrs. Tomecek is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jeffrey James Tomecek, of Bel Air, MD; two sons, Jeffrey Jameson Tomecek and Grayson Michael Tomecek, both of Bel Air, MD; and a sister, Cara-Marie Meckley of Forest Hill, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Peter Samuel Tomecek.
