Marydella Pierne

Marydella Pierne, age 86, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 25, 2009 at the home of her caregiver. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Beatrice Eversole Deise Funk and wife, for 62 years, of the late Andrew Camille Pierne. She graduated from Eastern High School in the class of 1940 and her family said she enjoyed painting.

Mrs. Pierne is survived by her sons, Robert A. Pierne of Abingdon, MD and James G. Pierne and wife, Georgia, of Hagerstown, MD; daughter-in-law, Nancy Pierne of Bel Air, MD; sister-in-law, Mildred Lagomasini and husband, George, of Apple Valley, CA and their daughter, Roberta Pumphrey and husband, Peter, of Bishop, CA; grandchildren, Marc Andrew Pierne of Pittsburgh, PA and William B. Whaley and wife, Shannon, of Hagerstown, MD; great-grandchildren, Cameron Michael Whaley and Kathryn N. Whaley, both of Hagerstown, MD; and longtime caregivers, Kirstin and Kenneth Rutkowski of Bel Air, MD. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, William C. Pierne.
