Mary Margaret Lesica

MARY LESICA, age 95, of Bel Air, MD, died on March 16, 2008 at Bel Air Health and Rehabilitation in Bel Air, MD. Born in San Jose, CA, she was the daughter of the late Antonio Corica and Mary Rinella. She was raised in Renova, PA and then moved to Asbury, NJ where she worked as a hairdresser after graduating from the Wilfred Academy in Philadelphia. She and her husband, the late Dr. Thomas J. Larocca, were members of St. Mary of the Assumption Rosary Society in Staten Island, NY for many years and she was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Bel Air, MD. An accomplished pianist, she helped singers rehearse for church and other professional performances. She enjoyed crocheting and handcrafted afghans for friends. She also loved to cook and entertain large crowds.

Mrs. Lesica is survived by a son, Joseph T. Larocca of Bel Air, MD; a daughter, Ann M. Larocca of Bel Air, MD; a brother, Francis Corica and his wife, Elaine, of Venice, FL; three sisters, Rose Siciliano of Eatontown, NJ, Josephine Pasbrig of Germantown, WI, and Pauline Corica of Asbury Park, NJ; brother-in-law, Michael Magno of Red Bank, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Antoinette Magno of Staten Island, NY; and husband, Anthony J. Lesica of Staten Island, NY.
