Mary M. Waitkus

MARY M. WAITKUS, age 85, of Abingdon, MD, died on February 13, 2008 at her son's home. Born in Spray, NC, she was the daughter of the late Miles Vernon and Dora Lewis Mize and wife of the late John S. Waitkus Sr. A member of Middle River Baptist Church, she had worked as a shipping clerk and enjoyed crocheting, reading, antiques and yard sales. She loved visiting with her family.

Mrs. Waitkus is survived by two sons, John S. Waitkus Jr and Joseph V. Waitkus, both of Joppa, MD; four grandchildren, John S. Waitkus III of Joppa, MD, Glenda Hagley of Abingdon, MD, Kimberly Waitkus of Joppa, MD, and Janet Trabert of Bel Air, MD; and seven great-grandchildren.
