Mary Lou White

Mary Lou White, age 86, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on January 17, 2023, at Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, Maryland. Born in Elkton, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Tisdale) Saffos and wife of the late James Thomas White, Sr.

Mary Lou loved sewing and as a skilled seamstress, she was able to provide a bit of her love to the homes of many people throughout Harford County. Mary Lou loved flowers and her flower gardens were her favorite place to be. Due to her love for flowers, she attended and completed the University of Maryland Master Gardeners program in Bel Air, Maryland. Mary Lou loved many other things including jigsaw puzzles, chocolate, playing bridge with her friends, and spending time with her loved ones.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, James “Tim” (Shirley Kaye) White, Jr.; two daughters, Cindy (Tim) Muller and Margaret Ann (Jeff) Blake; six grandchildren, Andrew White, Elise Friend, Joey Muller, Mitchell Muller, Treyner Blake, and Luann Blake; two great grandchildren, J.J. Friend, and Lissy Friend; and two brothers, Louie Saffos and George Saffos.
