Mary Lou Amerena

Mary Lou Amerena, age 93, of Joppa, Maryland passed away on December 5, 2020 at her home. Born in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Earl Cecil and Daisy Leta (Frederickson) Russell and wife of the late James John Amerena. She had worked as a schoolteacher and counselor and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.

Mary Lou is survived by her children, Judith Amey of Joppa, Janet Kinstler of Severn, John (Mary) Amerena of Medford, MA, and James (Susan) P. Amerena of Frederick; grandchildren, Gina Amerena, Charles Patrick Amerena, and James Matthew Amerena.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy Helms and James Russell.

The family will be hosting a memorial mass on Saturday, December 19th, 2020 at 11:00 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 504 Joppa Farm Road, Joppa, MD 21085
