Mary L. Craven, age 89, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on March 26, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Dilworth, MN, she was the daughter of the late Henry W. and Ethel Stafford Crowley and wife of the late Arvel Haywood Craven. In her younger days, she was a member of the USO. She liked to travel, take art classes, square dancing and clogging and was active in the Harford County Senior Centers and American Legion. She also enjoyed country music and was a member of SCAT (Senior Citizens Acting Troupe).
Mrs. Craven is survived by her sons, Edward F. Craven of Joppatowne, Charles H. Craven and wife, Ruth, of Aberdeen, Richard S. Craven and wife, Barbara, of White Marsh; daughters, Barbara Honberger of Aberdeen, Janet L. Ferrara of Pensacola, FL and June C. King and husband, Warren, of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Kathleen L. Henry "Snooky" and Virginia E. Tish "Sissy" both of Baltimore; grandchildren, Tina, Jason, Tonia, Rachel, Mary, Michael, Tony, Joshua, Douglas and Kristina; several great-grandchildren; and former daughter-in-law, Amy Linkous. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons, Dean E. and Donald E. Craven and brothers, Thomas C. Crowley "Tommy" and Henry W. Crowley "Sonny" .
