Mary Jo Kadlec

November 26, 1937 — May 19, 2015

Mary Jo Kadlec, 77, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away on May 19, 2015 at her home. Born in Gary, IN, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Everett Rice Tullis and Maxine Drury Dinwiddie Tullis and wife of the late Raymond M. Kadlec. She was employed for 35 years with the Baltimore City Public Schools where she was a dedicated teacher for Kindergarten to 3rd grade at Glenmount Elementary from 1966-1974 and at Hilton Elementary from 1974-2001. She also home schooled her grandson, Teddy, for ten years. A devoted mother and grandmother, she was also an artist and writer, and later in life, enjoyed creating both. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Mrs. Kadlec is survived by her daughter, Melissa Ann Louckes (Nicholas) of Fleming Island, FL; stepchildren, Raymond Kadalec and Linda Klein; siblings, Ann Sharp (Ronal) of Cedar Lake, IN, James Tullis (Denise) of Cape Cod, MA and Judith Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Theodore and Kate Marie Louckes, Christopher, Kylie, and Kari Kadalec, and Kimberly, David and Timothy Klein. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Metsch, sister, Carol Tullis, great-grandson, Miles Armstrong, stepchild, Terry Kadlec and first husband Karl W. Metsch.
