MARY E. WALTMAN, age 90, of Forest Hill, MD, formerly of Bel Air, MD, died on November 14, 2006, at Harford Memorial Hospital, Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Rocks, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alexander and Edith Irwin Crowl and the wife of the late Norman Andrew Cullum, to whom she was married for 36 years, and the late Clarence John Waltman, to whom she was married for 9 years. She retired from the Transportation Department of Aberdeen Proving Ground after 25 years of service. She was a member of Smith’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and playing cards with her friends, and was a life-time member of the Churchville Golden Age Club.
Mrs. Waltman is survived by one daughter, Elaine Watkins of Forest Hill, MD; one granddaughter, Linda Childers of Darlington, MD; two step-daughters, Carol Sherman of Bel Air, MD, and Patti Ross of Havre de Grace, MD; four step-grandchildren and seven step great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Manuel Crowl, and Vinton LeRoy Crowl, and three sisters, Dora Leceal Cullum, Bertha Bernice Carr, and Edith Mardel Gregory.
Pallbearers will be Neil Cullum, Russell Cullum, Paul Cockerham, George Hartwig, Howard Childers, and Norman Ross.
