Mary E. Jones

Mary E. Jones, age 85, of Catonsville, MD passed away on December 17, 2019 in hospice care at Hart Heritage Assisted Living. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Katherine (Armsworthy) Prinz and wife of the late Robert Sidney Jones III.

She is a graduate of the University of Maryland. She loved her flower garden, quilting, and all animals. Mary was an avid cook and was well known for her fresh coconut cake.

Mary is survived by two daughters, Kathleen A. Law of Ellicott City and Leslie C. Burgoyne of Abingdon; son, Stephen L. Jones of Stewartstown, PA; three grandchildren, Courtney Hidirsah, and Zachary and Kyle Jones; great-granddaughter, Rhea Hidirsah; and brother, Peter F. Prinz.

The family will be hosting a memorial service at Christian Temple, 5820 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228 on January 18, 2020 at 1 pm. A private inurnment will take place in Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. *******Regretfully, the family is postponing the memorial service on Saturday, January 18, 1:00 pm at Christian Temple due to the high percentage of snow in the forecast. A later date in March is to be announced********
