MARY E. GUIDO, age 91, of Joppa, passed away August 23, 2005 at Mariner Health of Bel Air. Born Electa Mary Nelson on March 4, 1914 in Micanopy, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Leon and Gatsy Lily Lee Slaughter Nelson. She grew up in Micanopy, Florida, one of four children. She ran track in school and played basketball. On November 9, 1934, she married Robert T. Guido and moved to Baltimore in 1939. In 1969 they moved to Joppa. On August 21, 1978, her husband, Robert passed away.

Mrs. Guido is survived by son Donald R. Guido and his wife, Gladys of Ellicott City, Michael E. Guido and wife, JoAnn of Houston, Texas; daughter, Susie Lee Wolfe and husband Richard of Joppa; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Fineagan, (wife of the late Robert L. Guido who died May 11, 1995) of Churchville; nine grandchildren, Richard H. Wolfe, Jr. and his wife Lorrie of Felton, PA, Mary Kathleen Spellman and husband Richard K. of Felton, PA, Jaclyn Guido of Providence, RI, Anthony Guido of Montgomery, AL, Rose Guido, Donny Guido, Lillian Guido, Brian Guido, Lisa Guido, all of Baltimore County; 16 great-grandchildren, Richard H. Wolfe, III, Laura A. Wolfe, Richard K. Spellman, Jr., Blake Spellman, and Dylan Spellman all of Felton, PA and 11 others. In addition to her parents, her husband, and her son Robert L. Guido, she was predeceased by twin daughters, Mary Louise and Theresa Carmella Guido who both died in June 1947; two brothers, Maurice Nelson and Earl Nelson; and one sister, Bernice Vause.
