Mary D. Heidler

Mary D. Heidler, age 92, of Edgewood, MD passed away on April 1, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Shwaluk and wife of the late John J. Heidler Jr. Before she retired, she worked as a seamstress for a dry cleaning service in New Jersey. A member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Golden Age Club, both in Edgewood, she loved to go fishing, crabbing and especially enjoyed spending time with her family in Lewes, DE. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Mrs. Heidler is survived by her children, Linda D. Heidler of WV, John J. Heidler III and wife, Jessica, of Washington State and Jacqueline Gallagher of Edgewood; sister, Annie Curran of Savannah, GA; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Michael and Joseph Shwaluk.

Pallbearers will be Adam, Troy and Ted Gallagher, and Michael Brad Schlosser.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of Mrs. Heidler to the American Cancer Society, 8219 Town Center Drive, Baltimore, MD 21236-0025 and include senders name and address.
