Mary D. Barber

MARY D. BARBER, age 86, of Havre de Grace, died at her home on February 26, 2006. Born in Galax, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Rennie Franklin and Vicie Belle Dillon Carrico. She retired from Glen Eagles Sewing Factor, Bel Air, after 20 years of service where she was a seamstress. A loving mother and grandmother, her family was her life.

Mrs. Barber is survived by five sons, William C. Barber of Bel Air, MD, Calvin K. Barber of Greensburg, PA, Larry L. Barber of Perry, FL, Billy D. Barber of Pasadena, MD, and Lyndell G. Barber of North East, MD; three daughters, Patty L. Hicks of Havre de Grace, MD, Brenda G. Caine, of Havre de Grace, MD, and Donna Lee Ellis of Conowingo, MD; a sister, Ella M. Hall of Galax, VA; two half brothers, Lehman Carrico of Galax, VA and Wayne Carrico of Galax, VA; two half sisters, Lottie Carrico of Galax, VA and Helen Porter of Galax, VA; 28 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son, Sherman E. Barber, Sr.; a brother, James Carrico; two sisters, Ruby Martin and Forest Hale; and a grandson, Matthew R. Caine.

Pallbearers will be: Sherman E. Barber, Jr., William C. Barber, Clavin K. Barber, Larry L. Barber, Billy D. Barber, Lyndell G. Barber, William T. Hicks, Thomas E. Caine, and William A. Ellis.
